Every known starts with an unknown, and for the launch of our UQ brand campaign, it’s a story centred around the universal unknown of darkness. We follow the story of a little girl who is afraid of the dark. Only through understanding it does she become curious of it. In many ways, it’s symbolic of the learning journey we can all embark on. When you learn everything there is to know, you ultimately conquer the unknown.

Hi, I'm Wayne, copywriter by craft, conceptual at heart. I've had the good fortune of working with many talented creatives around the world – 13 years of which were spent in the U.K. and Europe – but now, I'm back in Brisbane.
I love it when things get creatively freaky between media platforms. I've been lucky enough to be part of several multi-award-winning pieces that exploit their media and the craft. I've also worked on major global roll-outs that span five countries and as many languages, and I seem to have an unhealthy obsession with sound.
There's something pure about the power of sound and haters gonna hate, but good radio is a beautiful thing. Fortunately, I also possess a groovy kind of love for TV, digital, OOH, content creation and DM – a genuine first-born kind of love, not that middle-child kind. Just to be clear.
My work has been shaped by a vast and varied client list which includes – BP, James Hardie, ING, KFC, Subway, Paralympics Australia, Australian Sports Commission, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Samsung, Bosch Security, Sekisui, Peet, Brisbane Festival, COI U.K, QLD Government, Sunsuper, Allianz, Greyhound Australia, Virgin Media, Diageo, Microsoft Xbox, Lectra and more.
I have also had the chance to get a feel of both ends of the awards paddling stick – as both a jury member for Creative Circle and the NY Ad Festival and as an award winner.
